TI-ARTS
DOWNTOWN GALLERY
In 2012, as part of our commitment to Ticonderoga as a cultural arts destination, Ti-Alliance founded the Ti-Arts Downtown Gallery at 119 Montcalm Street back in 2012. We identified a suitable storefront owned by the Reale family who generously agreed that everyone would be better served by an attractive tenant than the empty building. Our Ti-Alliance volunteers and summer interns went to work transforming the space and contacting artists.
In just two months, this project went from an idea to completion. A couple of years later, we handed over the reins to Ticonderoga Arts, a local non-profit dedicated to promoting the arts in our community.
The Ti-Arts Gallery has flourished under their care and it continues to be a bright spot in downtown Ti promoting art and performance events in the space including its Plein Air Painting Festival attended annually by some of the best painters in the northeast.
The Gallery has daily hours for viewing and purchasing the fine art and crafts on display. Visit the Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/TiconderogaDowntownGallery/.
