The Downtown Gallery (now part of Ti Arts)

In 2012, recent college graduates hired as summer interns created and opened the Downtown Gallery located at 199 Montcalm Street in downtown Ticonderoga. Local artists and artisans were contacted and invited to participate, and the building owners agreed to provide the space at no charge. Everyone worked to transform an empty storefront into a bright, attractive and inviting space for the celebration of local art.

Alliance volunteers continued to expand, manage and operate the year-round gallery until the summer of 2014 when it merged with the Ti Arts organization. This brought both the Downtown Gallery and the Hancock House gallery on Moses Circle in Ticonderoga into one consolidated organization

The Downtown Gallery today presents artists using a wide variety of mediums, displaying their work in a lively and creative manner. These local artists are the staff for the Gallery, so people have an opportunity to talk with the artists themselves about their work and the creative process.  The artwork is available for purchase, with a portion of the proceeds being donated back to the Cultural Arts Initiative to aid in their ongoing work.

The Ticonderoga Revitalization Alliance is a not-for-profit local development corporation whose mission is to help restore economic prosperity in the Ticonderoga region by serving as a catalyst for public-private partnerships and investment opportunities.
